• An article about Alain Delon said estimates of the value of the French actor’s estate varied wildly “between €50m and €300m (£58m and £352m)”. The conversion rate was muddled during editing; the actual sterling value is between £43m and £256m (‘He didn’t play the star here’…, 19 August, p9).

• Benito Mussolini was born in the small Italian town of Predappio, not Milan (‘I want audiences to be seduced’, 17 August, p3).
