Yahoo News Corrie airs huge showdown for Phelan and Vinny tonight
Coronation Street kicks off an explosive week for Pat Phelan tonight (October 23) as he comes face-to-face with his old partner-in-crime Vinny Ashford for the first time in a year.
Vinny (Ian Kelsey) has been enjoying himself far away from the cobbles ever since doing a runner with the money he stole in the property scam he organised with Phelan.
Although the villains both worked on the con together, Vinny betrayed Phelan at the eleventh hour by leaving him high and dry – and it seems that revenge is a dish best served cold.
In tonight's Corrie double bill, Vinny is intercepted by Phelan as he discreetly tries to pay a visit to his mum Flora, who's nowhere to be seen.
Not messing about this time, Phelan warns Vinny that he'll never see his mother again unless he hands over every penny that he stole – and quickly!
Although Vinny protests that he has no chance of getting the cash together, Phelan gives him a tight 24-hour deadline to meet the deadly demand.
Later on, Phelan pays another visit to Andy Carver in the cellar and promises that his replacement will be arriving soon.
Does this mean that Vinny is Phelan's next target? With Phelan about to follow through with his threats to take a new hostage, anything is possible...
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
