Yahoo News Corrie's Adam plots shocking revenge against Billy
Coronation Street's Adam Barlow will team up with twisted Geraldine Spellman as he plans the ultimate revenge against Billy Mayhew and Todd Grimshaw.
Adam's world is turned upside down this Christmas when he discovers that Billy was involved in the death of his mum Susan – and that Todd knew all about it.
The Weatherfield solicitor struggles to come to terms with the double betrayal and when he later pays a visit to Susan's grave, he privately vows to avenge her death.
Fortunately for Adam, it seems that his uncle Peter has already done some of the hard work for him – making contact with Summer's grandmother Geraldine in secret and branding Billy an unfit parent.
By the time Geraldine arrives to investigate the mysterious allegations, Todd has already taken Summer away until the heat dies down – a storyline hastily written in to explain Bruno Langley's permanent departure from Corrie.
Geraldine is determined to find out what's going on after Peter's vague insinuations and it seems that she's found a willing ally when Adam makes a beeline for her.
Adam tells Geraldine that he thinks Summer would be better off in care, before offering to help her get the schoolgirl taken away from Todd and Billy forever.
We know that Todd won't be appearing on our screens again, but Adam's vengeful behaviour looks likely to have a significant impact on the future for both Billy and Summer.
Just how far will Adam go to get even with the man he now blames for his mother's death?
Coronation Street airs Adam's big discovery on Christmas Day at 8pm on ITV.
