Yahoo News Corrie's Bethany faces new ordeal after Nathan's arrest
Bethany Platt was rescued from Nathan Cutis's clutches in Coronation Street tonight (June 21), but she was immediately thrown into another devastating dilemma, meaning her story is far from over.
Bethany (Lucy Fallon) took some control back after seeing Nathan's true colours and realising he was trying to smuggle her out of the country.
Finally accepting that Nathan wasn't the man she thought he was, Bethany at last took action – begging a young family to help her at a service station.
Thankfully, her cry for help happened just in time and the police soon turned up, dragging evil Nathan away as he shouted abuse at a heartbroken Bethany.
But as previously confirmed, it soon became clear that Bethany's story wasn't going to end there, with fresh turmoil awaiting her when she was taken to the police station.
Viewers know that police officer Neil has been closely involved in Bethany's dark story as he's been abusing his position in the force to keep Nathan and the sex ring out of trouble.
Neil was the first "client" that evil Nathan Curtis introduced to Bethany earlier this year and she was left traumatised when she was forced to sleep with him against her will.
With the walls closing in on him, Neil warned Bethany to keep his name out of it, even threatening her family if she came clean about his involvement.
Shaken, Bethany bravely began her interview with another officer, but lost her composure when it came to discussing her ordeal with Neil and bolted from the station.
Refusing to do any more talking, the stakes for Bethany are now higher than ever, but fans will have to keep tuned to see whether she does decide to reveal the truth about Neil or not.
Either way, we already know that her loyal friend Craig will soon start realising that all isn't as it seems with his colleague, but will he be the one who exposes Neil's corruption?
