Yahoo News Corrie's Chesney turns sinister in latest Daniel clash
Coronation Street aired a sinister twist in tonight's episode (December 15) as Chesney Brown hit himself with a brick in a bid to frame Daniel Osbourne.
We already knew that Chesney would be found covered in blood after his latest row with his love rival, but what we didn't know is that Daniel was completely innocent on this occasion.
Viewers know that Daniel and Chesney are currently going head-to-head over Sinead Tinker – who has found herself at the centre of a very messy love triangle.
As the pair's war of words started to turn really nasty in the first part of tonight's double bill, Chesney took shock action to ensure that Sinead would never want to speak to her ex again.
During their argument, Daniel left Chesney deeply unsettled when he pointed out that his antics are all driven by jealousy because he knows Sinead is still in love with him.
However, Chesney then horrified Daniel when he took matters into his own hands by smashing himself in the face with a brick in a bid to frame him for assault.
Sadly, it looks like Chesney's actions have the desired effect as Sinead is disgusted with Daniel after finding her boyfriend injured later tonight.
Furious, Sinead wastes no time in telling Ken and Tracy that Daniel has turned to the dark side again, but will Daniel be able to prove his innocence? Or has Chesney's sinister plan worked?
