Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby makes a bold move next week as she tries to end her feuding with Michelle Connor.

The pair struck up a surprise friendship late last year, but it all turned sour a few weeks ago when Michelle discovered that her husband Steve McDonald had secretly fathered a son with Leanne.

After taking some time out from Weatherfield to clear her head, Michelle is back on the cobbles tonight (April 12) and she seems to be in a much better frame of mind than when she left.

First on Michelle's list is apologising to Robert Preston for the way she treated him before she went, and she also gets an opportunity for a much-needed fresh start when he offers her the position of Bistro manager.

As Michelle (Kym Marsh) settles into her new job, Leanne can't help noticing her flirting with Robert and fears the worst about her intentions after all their recent animosity.

Leanne (Jane Danson) even warns Robert to be careful, pointing out that Michelle is probably on the rebound so soon after her split from Steve.

Despite her sniping, Leanne later realises that it's time to end hostilities with Michelle and decides to make the first move in sorting things out once and for all.

As Leanne takes the gamble of offering Michelle an olive branch, will she be willing to accept it?

Given Michelle's recent outbursts, let's just hope there's no repeat of her punching Leanne, which is still fresh in everyone's memory...

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
