Coronation Street's Shona Ramsey bravely stands up to evil Nathan Curtis next week, but her bold move comes at a horrifying cost.

Shona (Julia Goulding) was in a relationship with Nathan just before she joined the Street last December, but she ended things with him when he tried to groom her and found herself homeless as a result.

Shona has spent the past few months in the dark about Nathan's new "romance" with Bethany Platt, but the truth dawns on her next week when Craig Tinker mentions the teenager's dodgy boyfriend who runs a tanning salon.

Determined to protect Bethany, brave Shona heads over to Nathan's salon and orders him to stay away from the vulnerable teenager from now on.

Nathan (Chris Harper) shows his vile true colours once again by grabbing Shona's wrist and claiming that she owes him big time, forcing her to make a run for it before things get any nastier.

Shona then tries to do the right thing by calling the police, but she's stopped in her tracks when two strange men approach her and knock her phone away, before subjecting her to a violent attack.

There are no prizes for guessing that Nathan could be responsible for this, but Shona won't be scared off so easily and remains determined to expose him.

When Craig (Colson Smith) finds Shona barely conscious close to the salon, he phones an ambulance and has her admitted to hospital, but she soon flees back to the Street and warns David that Bethany is in danger.

After Shona explains the horrifying truth about what's been going on, she teams up with David, Sarah and Gary as they rush to the salon to check on Bethany.

The rescue mission couldn't come at a better time as Nathan has now told Bethany to entertain three of his friends at his latest sick party, but will her loved ones manage to arrive before things go too far?
