Coronation Street's Rana Nazir is drawn back to Kate Connor next week, admitting that she can't stop thinking about her.

Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) recently sealed the deal with her husband Zeedan by making their marriage official, but her storyline with Kate is still far from over.

Early next week, Kate tries to hurt Rana by revealing that she'll be moving to Spain with her dad Johnny and new stepmum Jenny.

Kate is clearly hoping for a clean break after Rana chose Zeedan over her, but deep down she's heartbroken. She even confides in Luke Britton over the situation – confessing that she doesn't really want to move, but it's killing her being around Rana.

Later in the week, the tense situation comes to a head when Zeedan sends Rana and Kate to attend a food fair on his behalf – still oblivious to the chemistry between them.

When the van breaks down in the middle of nowhere, Rana confesses to Kate how she can't stop thinking about her, but she knows that her parents would never speak to her again if they became a proper couple.

Forgetting her own hurt feelings for a moment, Kate's heart goes out to Rana and the romantic spark between them is well and truly back. Will they give into their feelings?

Faye Brookes, who plays Kate, revealed: "The pair drive out to the food fair in Zeedan's van and it breaks down. They are in the middle of nowhere and for the first time ever, they give each other time to talk.

"Rana opens up about the strict, regimented routine when she was growing up – that she can't disappoint her family, she has to go by the book and live this 'happily ever after' for her family's sake.

"What's really nice for Kate is that she sees Rana in a whole new light and it's a good one. She realises that Rana has been dealing with so much. It's now made them a lot closer on a friendship level and maybe something more.

"Kate is relieved that it's not just her that is struggling with the feelings and in a way she is feeling optimistic. It puts a question mark over whether something could happen now."

Asked what it was like to film the scenes, Faye replied: "It's definitely racy, but we did it right and in a very sophisticated, artistic sort of way, which I love. It's filmed in a really beautiful way, but at the same time, it is Coronation Street and it has to have that added drama.

"There is that element, the fact that they are not meant to be there and they are not meant to be alone, that electrifies that scene and makes it more intense, so you never know if one thing is going to lead to another."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
