Coronation Street couple Jenny and Johnny Connor could be heading for a crisis next week, just five months on from their wedding day.
Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) has been looking forward to a fresh start in Spain now that Johnny has decided to retire, but there's trouble in store next week when their plans get delayed.
When Roy Cropper suddenly announces that his mum Sylvia is unwell and needs him to look after her, the big question is who'll be there for Carla after her kidney transplant.
Johnny (Richard Hawley) quickly steps in by promising to support Carla through her recovery, but Jenny is left disappointed when he tells her that they can't go to Spain just yet.
Later in the week, Carla and Aidan are both discharged from hospital after the transplant, but their family are keeping a very close eye on them to make sure that everything is okay.
Jenny ends up feeling left out by the Connor family chatter at the flat and heads out – spending time with her ex-partner Kevin Webster instead.
When Kevin spots that Jenny seems downbeat, she admits that she feels like an outsider whenever she spends time with the Connors.
Jenny does feel better after talking through her problems with Kevin, but how would Johnny feel if he knew she was opening up to her old flame?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, February 23 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
