Yahoo News Is Corrie lining up another love triangle for Maria ?
Coronation Street could be kicking off a brand new love triangle as Maria Connor gets involved with Michelle's old flame Will Chatterton.
Sneaky new paparazzi shots yesterday (July 24) hinted that Michelle was getting cosy with Will as they enjoyed each other's company on a lunch date.
Given that Michelle is currently in a relationship with Robert Preston, the pictures implied upcoming trouble for the pair – who have already endured their fair share of drama recently.
Although it's not clear at this stage whether Michelle is going to split up with Robert, or start seeing Will behind his back, it looks like she could have competition in the form of her friend Maria.
Upcoming scenes will see Michelle encourage Maria to get in touch with Will when she spots him on a new dating app she has downloaded.
Before long, Maria is arranging a date with Will in the Rovers – much to the annoyance of her former lover Aidan, who watches on jealously.
After hitting it off at the pub, Will wastes no time in arranging another date with Maria – but this is where it starts to get a little strange.
Having assured Maria she's totally cool with her seeing Will, Michelle suggests they all meet in the bistro for a drink together.
But with the atmosphere between Robert and Michelle distinctly frosty, it's awkward all round –prompting Maria to suggest to Will that they head into town instead.
Glad to escape, Michelle offers them a lift (she really is the matchmaker!), but why is she so keen for Will to move on with Maria? And is it only a matter of time before the situation gets complicated?
