Coronation Street's big reunion for Tracy Barlow and Steve McDonald could run into trouble after only a matter of days.
Tension flares up between the on-off couple when Tracy (Kate Ford) thinks Steve is making eyes at his ex-wife Michelle Connor on New Year's Eve.
Corrie has confirmed that Tracy and Steve get back together over Christmas, despite their daughter Amy disapproving.
Tracy is looking forward to an exciting 2018 with Steve when they both celebrate New Year's Eve at the Bistro, but the only trouble is that Steve seems a little bit distracted by another woman.
Much to Tracy's disapproval, Steve spends most of the evening glancing over at Michelle, hinting that she's still very much on his mind.
While Tracy thinks Steve has a wandering eye, he's actually genuinely concerned for Michelle after overhearing an earlier argument at the Bistro.
It all kicks off when newly-returned Carla offers to pay off Robert Preston's debts, leaving him furious to realise that Michelle has been discussing their financial problems.
Eavesdropping on this, Steve becomes concerned that all is not well between Robert and Michelle – which explains his strange behaviour when he next sees her on New Year's Eve.
Steve's worries intensify further when Daniel Osbourne tips him off over Robert and Michelle being in serious financial trouble, but will Tracy's jealousy boil over if Steve decides to poke his nose in?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, December 29 at 7.30pm on ITV.
