Yahoo News Corrie's Kym Marsh responds to whether she would do I'm a Celebrity
Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has addressed whether or not she would go on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ahead of her exit as Michelle Connor.
Kym is leaving the cobbles after more than a decade to pursue fresh opportunities. But going into the jungle isn't something she would consider – for the time being, at least.
"I'd be terrible!" she said in her OK! Magazine column. "I wouldn't like the bugs or the sleep deprivation, and I'd never jump out of a helicopter. My campmates would probably starve because I'd fail to win any stars!
"Never say never, but I don't want to do any reality shows so soon after leaving the Street later this year."
Kym previously shared similar thoughts about Strictly Come Dancing, saying last month that she wants to focus on acting.
"As wonderful as those shows are, I'm not leaving Corrie after 13 years to do reality TV," she said at the time.
Kym will be presenting five-part daytime series For Love or Money alongside Ashley John-Baptiste – but she's keen to take on acting roles that are very different to Michelle.
"I really want to do something different now," she added earlier this month. "I'd like to play a psychopath in a really dark drama. I want to stretch myself."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
