Yahoo News Corrie's Paul Foreman suffers another nasty fall

Coronation Street's Paul Foreman will experience another bad fall next week, after he discovers the truth about his mum Bernie Winter's secret deal with his friend Shelly Rossington.
In scenes that will air on ITV next week, Paul opens a letter to discover that he's been offered an appointment with a palliative nurse to help him manage his symptoms of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
While Paul tries to make light of this, his fiancé Billy Mayhew worries that he isn't being truthful about how he's really feeling.

When Paul has a chat about the appointment with his new friend Shelly, who he met over the summer at a support group for people with MND, he realises just how ill she now is.
Later in the week, Paul experiences difficulty walking. Billy suggests he could try using a wheelchair he's sourced, but Paul refuses.
When Paul later spots Bertie Osbourne with a new tablet, he feels suspicious. He soon finds Bernie sorting through a pile of electronics that were addressed to Shelly.

Bernie tells Paul that she's now involved in Shelly's electronics scam, which she is running to pay for her carers. Bernie argues that she's simply trying to make some extra cash, so that she can help Paul to buy whatever he needs to support him as his condition deteriorates.
Paul later tells Billy everything. He recognises that Bernie means well, but he intends to speak to Shelly and tell her to stop the scam.

When Paul is on the way to Shelly's home, he suffers a bad fall and can't get up. He cries out for help, but there is no-one else around to help him.
Peter Ash was spotted filming these emotional scenes on location in July, as Paul continues to struggle with his deteriorating movement.

Earlier this summer, Paul shocked Billy by telling him that he would like help to end his own life at a later date, leaving Billy upset.
Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy, explained: "Billy is absolutely horrified. Because it not only goes against his own personal moral stance, but also his role as an archdeacon is very much about celebrating the life they've got left rather than terminating it.
"He wants them to have more time together, not less. So he's absolutely horrified that Paul is even considering it."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
Coronation Street has been working on Paul's storyline with support from the MND Association, which focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for people affected by motor neurone disease.
