Coronation Street could expose Weatherfield's biggest secret tonight (February 24) as Steve McDonald is left holding his newborn baby in public at the Bistro.

Steve (Simon Gregson) is currently wrestling with his own emotions after Leanne Battersby gave birth to his secret love child Oliver earlier this week.

Most people on the Street are completely unaware that Steve is the father and it's probably wise to keep it that way, but tonight's emotional double bill could see the Rovers boss find it harder than ever to keep everything quiet.

When Steve and his wife Michelle (Kym Marsh) try to enjoy a quiet drink at the Bistro, they find themselves unwittingly caught up in a last-minute party that Gail has thrown to celebrate Oliver's arrival.

Still grieving following the tragic loss of their own son Ruairi, devastated Michelle and Steve are forced to watch on awkwardly as everyone toasts the baby's future.

One particularly difficult moment crops up when the time comes for a photo of the happy family, with David asking Steve to do the honours.

Not long after, David asks Steve for a second favour - wanting him to hold baby Oliver while everyone else is distracted.

As Steve comes face-to-face with his son for the first time, could this be a recipe for disaster? Could his reaction give the game away?

Leanne certainly worries it's a possibility when she watches the unexpected father-son moment and can't help fearing the worst...
