Costa Del Tottenham, a new outdoor site from north London club The Cause, will launch this weekend.
Described as an “all-weather tropical industrial paradise”, the area doubles the size of the Tottenham club’s existing outdoor space, which hosted its first socially distanced DJ event last weekend.
Stuart Glen, co-founder of The Cause, said: “This was never our usual plan but being quick to adapt, we’ve been fortunate with our space.
“The ongoing development [of the surrounding area] has given us lots of empty avenues for expansion around the site, letting us get creative with the Covid crisis.”
Street food will be served by the likes of vegan favourite Club Mexicana and People’s Burger, with more vendors set to be announced.
A UK garage-themed barbecue is also in the pipeline, as in an eight-week open-air cabaret, run in partnership with popular queer club night Adonis.
The site will be split into two areas, with the so-called Southside running a soft launch this weekend. Tables for social bubbles of six, seven, eight or 12 people must be booked in advance. Prices start at £10 a head and include a free cocktail on arrival. Head here for more info.
Strict hygiene measures will be in place in addition to social distancing. Electromagnetic cleaning specialist V-Protect — which works with the likes of Marriott Hotels and various airlines and train operators — will be in charge of cleaning at the venue.
Costa Del Tottenham is the latest addition to the growing number of socially distanced music events in London, with Brixton Jamm and Studio 338 among the other clubs to get involved.
