Cotswolds Designer Outlet near the M5 and Dobbies - what would you like to see there?

The new retail site off junction 9 of the M5 near Tewkesbury, will introduce up to 90 new, high-quality fashion, sports, lifestyle and F&B brands in a 186,000 sq ft Cotswolds-inspired setting.

Building work continues apace on the Cotswolds Designer Outlet just off the M5 near Tewkesbury ahead of a planned opening in Spring 2025. Hundreds of thousands of shoppers will be making a beeline for the centre, with dozens of shops and food and drink outlets offering their wares.

Up until now, however, mystery surrounds the shops and restaurants that will be opening there. What we do now is that there will be some big names as earlier in the summer it was revealed that 75% of the retail space had already been snapped up.

There are expected to be more than 55 stores and restaurants at the outlet centre when it opens. Up to 500 new retail jobs are expected to be created.

The retail outlet centre, off junction 9, is part of a wider development which has already seen the creation of a Dobbies. Some 850 homes are being build near by and a further 460 homes will be built close by from 2025.

And as the opening date for the Cotswolds Designer Outlet nears, and as people see the rapid progress on building the site, fevered speculation is beginning on what kind of names will be there. And we want to know what you would like to see there.

In response to Reuters' queries, Wizz Air said safety is its top priority and it had carried out detailed risk assessments before resuming flights over Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries.In other letters, staff called on airlines to be more transparent about their decisions on routes.The ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran and the abrupt ousting of President Bashar al-Assad by Syrian rebels at the weekend have raised concerns of further insecurity in the region.Some European airlines including Lufthansa and KLM allow crew to opt-out of routes they don't feel are safe.But others such as Wizz Air, Ryanair and airBaltic don't.AirBaltic said the airline meets an international safety standard that doesn't need to be adjusted.Ryanair, which intermittently flew to Jordan and Israel until September, said it makes security decisions based on EASA guidance.Passenger rights groups are also asking for travelers to receive more information.
