It has come to our attention that the Brit Awards *might* be planning a top-secret, surprise performance at tonight's ceremony.

According to The Sun,Coldplay are being rumoured as a last-minute addition to tonight's star-studded bill at The O2.

The band have been nominated for Best Single and Best Video, both for 'Hymn For The Weekend', so it'd make sense to perform that – if they are indeed performing at all.

Anyway, if the rumours do turn out be true, Coldplay will be joining previously confirmed performers Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Bruno Mars, Skepta, The 1975, Little Mix and Emeli Sandé tonight.

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams – who has an impressive 18 Brit Awards - has revealed that he actually only has one Brit Award because he's given all 17 others away.

Robbie previously spoke to Digital Spy ahead of tonight's Brit Awards, and to mark his MasterCard Priceless Surprises campaign.

He said of his Brits Icon accolade: "Look, it was a great bit of promo for my tour. It's kind of that big an achievement that it's hard to work out why I've got 18 Brits and no-one else has. It's f**king odd."

The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary and The Voice UK's Emma Willis will join forces to present the 2017 Brit Awards on ITV tonight.

This year will also see Clara Amfo, Laura Jackson and Alice Levine host all the red carpet and behind-the-scenes bits on ITV2 before and after the main show – and Digital Spy will also be keeping you up to date with all the news and gossip from the red carpet and ceremony.

The Brit Awards air tonight (Wednesday, February 22) at 7.30 pm on ITV.
