We've known for a hot minute now that Blind Date is making a TV comeback on Channel 5, and all sorts of big names have been thrown around about who might replace the dearly departed Cilla Black as host.

Former jungle queen Vicky Pattison has been a primary contender, alongside pop smiley man Olly Murs as well as actresses Georgia May Foote and Helen Flanagan being tipped for the job too.

But the latest celebrity contender to be touted to follow in Cilla's footsteps is none other than music queen Kylie Minogue.

According to a report in The Sun, TV bosses are keen to get the Aussie superstar on board as a way to make the most of the buzz surrounding the reboot of the show.

Digital Spy has reached out to Channel 5 for comment.

Whatever happens and whoever ends up presenting the new version of Blind Date, we can be sure that Christopher Biggins won't be watching.

The veteran TV presenter and actor - who co-hosted Surprise Surprise with Cilla back in 1984 - said on the matter: "Let's bring back old established things which were great because Cilla Black made them great.

"It's very depressing. I don't think they should do it."

Each to their own, Biggins.
