One of the oldest fish and chip shops in Blackpool - and arguably the best - has been put on the market for close to £1million.
Yorkshire Fisheries, in Topping Street, is being marketed with a price of £924,950, which includes two self-contained flats above the takeaway. The National Federation of Fish Friers has previously named Yorkshire Fisheries among their list of nine top chippies in Lancashire which the chippy dating back to 1907 when it was opened by William Taylor.
The chippy is currently owned by Maria, the niece of George and Val Vasiliou who bought Yorkshire Fisheries in 1989 before they retired in 2005. Maria and her husband Pavlos have now put the takeaway on the market.

The listing, by Alan J Picken estate agents, states: "Since acquiring the business our clients maintained their family's excellent quality and standards and have striven to serve the best fish and chips in the area and have won many awards.
