A luxury mansion used to host wild hen and stag parties has been shut down after neighbours complained about inflatable penises strewn across lawns and "butlers in the buff".

The £1million property in Talbot Woods, Dorset, was being let out by millionaire businessman Max Walker to revelers who "shouted and swore at all hours" and behaved as if they were on "the main strip in Ibiza".

Neighbours complained of being kept awake by drunken antics at the five-bedroom detached house, including music blaring from loudspeakers, nude butlers at hen parties and phallic-shaped objects being thrown around outside.

One resident said: "I think the groups who rented the property out were under the impression they were on the main strip in Ibiza, not a quiet residential neighbourhood in Bournemouth."

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council said it had received dozens of complaints and took the case to court.

It was ruled that the property would be subject to a closure order lasting three months - the maximum period allowed by law.

The mansion's owner, Stephen Millar, and Mr Walker, who was letting it out by agreement with Mr Millar, are only allowed to attend the premises to clean up and dismantle the hot tub, a judge ruled at Poole Magistrates' Court.

The property was being advertised as 'The Stag House and The Party House' on the website Adventure Connections. It is the latest expensive property in the Bournemouth and Poole area to be rented out for parties, with landlords charging up to £3,000 for a weekend.

Lee Tharme, an anti-social behaviour officer for the council, told the court that there had been groups of up to 20 people partying at the house, and that a noise abatement notice and community protection warning had both been ignored.

He said: "The gatherings result in a massive amount of noise and we have had 29 out of hours service calls after 6pm. They have a total disregard for people."

Prosecutors claimed that Mr Millar once texted Mr Walker, writing: "I won't tolerate this anymore Max. This is your last chance - too many hens and stags."

District judge Stephen Nicholls granted the local council their application for a closure order under Section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
