Council latest on new cash-less car park machines in Nuneaton and Bedworth
All council car parks in Nuneaton and Bedworth are about to be made cash-less. It was agreed at the Town Hall to make major changes to council parking across the two towns.
Not only is the £1.50 for three hours being scrapped, so are the cash-taking machines in the car pars. New touchscreen machines will replace them.
It means that people will only be able to pay to park either using a card or Apple Pay. Now that the plans, which also include a change in car parking prices have been approved, CoventryLive asked the council when people will start seeing the new machines appear in car parks.

A spokesman for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said: "Now we have agreement we are preparing an implementation plan, and further information will be revealed when the plan is available."
The Ropewalk multi-storey car park is also set to go ticketless. A new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is set to be introduced.
This all coincides with what the council has described as 'more flexi ble' parking charges. They are as follows:
