Council announces Southend museum will be closed tomorrow - here's why

One of Southend's museums will be closed tomorrow, the city council has announced.

Southend Council took to Twitter this morning to announce two of its museum are closing on Friday.

The museum services in the city include Central Museum and Beecroft Gallery in Victoria Avenue, Prittlewell Priory and Southchurch Hall.

Central Museum will be closed for the whole day tomorrow due to "unforeseen circumstances", the council says.

On the closure, Southend Council said on Twitter: "We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

Beecroft Art Gallery, Prittlewell Priory and Southchurch Hall will be open as usual.

However, there will be a short closure from 12pm to 2pm at Southchurch Hall for a wedding ceremony.
