Yahoo News County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service's Santa on Tour returns next month to spread Christmas cheer
Firefighters are set to spread Christmas cheer to families across County Durham and Darlington again, when they take Santa on a magical fire engine tour.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) has announced that crews will once again be putting on the Santa On Tour event this festive season.
The two-day event is set to take place on Wednesday, December 11, and Thursday, December 12.

It will see Santa join firefighters on a fire engine as it visits different fire stations and supermarkets in County Durham and Darlington.
Now in its fourth year, the popular event has previously attracted hundreds of people hoping to catch a glimpse of Santa before the big day.
CDDFRS hopes to raise as much as possible for The Fire Fighters Charity from the festive celebration.
The charity helps all serving and retired members of the United Kingdom's fire family to live healthier and happier lives by providing vital support and access to services.
Firefighter Connor McCabe, 31, is the organiser of the Santa On Tour event. He said: "We love to spread Christmas cheer to families in the communities that we serve.
"The Santa On Tour event is one of the highlights of our year and it is great to see the smiles on children’s faces when we arrive with Santa on the fire engine!
"We hope to raise as much as possible for The Fire Fighters Charity from the event which makes a real difference to the lives of our firefighters.
"We hope to see you at one of the locations on the tour!"
