Couple Charged After Allegedly Staging Crash to Claim Insurance
Two people were arrested on Friday, April 28, at a western Sydney residence over allegations they defrauded the Compulsory Third Party Insurance scheme.
NSW Police arrested and charged two people, a couple, and will allege the pair staged a car crash in order to claim insurance.
In a statement issued by police, Fraud and Cybercrime Squad Commander detective superintendent Arthur Katsogiannis said the arrests were a “breakthrough” in their investigations.
“There are now three people before the courts and as our inquiries continue, there’ll be more to come,” Det Supt Katsogiannis said. Credit: NSW Police Force via Storyful
