Couple woken by 'massive bang' and rush to window to look out on shocking scene
A dramatic video has captured the moment a car crashed into a garden wall during a police chase in Trafford. Officers were pursuing a 'suspected stolen' car when it collided with the wall of a front garden.
The incident happened in Upper Chorlton Road in the Firswood area of Trafford, Manchester, just after 2am this morning (Monday). Footage shows the terrifying moment the car hit the brick wall and flipped over onto the road. A police vehicle with blue flashing lights arrived at the scene moments later.
Mr Yousaf, the homeowner, told the Manchester Evening News that he was asleep when he heard a 'massive bang'. "He's flung over, lost control of the car and smashed straight into it", he said, describing the crash. "There was a massive bang. We woke up and jumped out of bed. There was a police car about 10 seconds after so we knew it was a police chase that took place. Luckily I think the driver was fine."
