A TEENAGER has been fined by magistrates after he was caught out on the roads in Hereford with two bald tyres.
Jack Wilfred Roberts was proven guilty of two counts of using a motor vehicle or trailer with a tyre with the ply or cord exposed by magistrates in Worcester in January.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 19-year-old had been caught out driving a Volkswagen Golf in Hereford's Eign Street on September 9.
Both the rear offside and rear nearside wheels on the car were fitted with pneumatic tyres which had the ply or cord exposed, the court was told.
Roberts, who is of Whitecastle Close in Hereford, was fined £440 for each offence, a total of £880.
He was also handed three penalty points and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £352 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
