Courteney Cox texted daughter Coco ‘I love you’ during emergency private jet landing with Jennifer Aniston

Courteney Cox has opened up about a nail-biting emergency landing a private jet carrying her, Jennifer Aniston and their friends was forced to make last week.

The Friends star had been on the way to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico as part of Aniston’s 50th birthday celebrations but one of the plane wheels fell off as the flight took off, earlier this month.

Cox told Extra: “I’m not afraid of flying at all. My dad was a pilot, but I was really scared.

“When we were taking off, we heard this really loud bang and I was like, ‘Oh, that sounds like we should probably check that tyre.’

“There was no tyre at all, there was no wheel. Luckily, there are two wheels on each side and two in the front.”

Cox went on to reveal that the aircraft had to circle for four hours before landing but it turned out to be a “really smooth” touchdown after all.

However, the actress, 54, did admit she texted 14-year-old daughter Coco and her boyfriend Johnny McDaid amid the panic of the flight.

She added: “I sent a little text to Coco, ‘I love you,’ I didn’t say why, and to Johnny. I told him everything that was going on and I FaceTimed him after.”

Despite the brief hiccup, the stars proved they still had a good time as Cox shared a sweet tribute to Aniston on Instagram, declaring that the world “got brighter” when her friend was born.

Other A-list friends of Aniston, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow also hailed the actress a “ray of sunshine” as they shared a string of snaps in full party mode.
