From Cosmopolitan

As a die-hard Friends fan, I have the cult TV show to thank for so many things. It's the reason I use a really high-pitched voice whenever I say "margaritas!" and yell, "It's the humidity!" when my hair goes frizzy. I'm also still really pissed off about not having my own spot in my local coffee shop (with its own comfy, burnt-orange sofa, obvs), or goddess hair like the actresses who sat on it day in, day out.

Jennifer Aniston's glossy locks were (and still are) incredible - the same goes for Lisa Kudrow's signature over-accessorised style. Courteney Cox's raven-black hair was also a subject of my desire, but like her fellow Friends crew, she's never really switched it up at all since the show first aired.

In a world where celebrities are busy dyeing their hair pastel pink, and royals are going honey blonde, the Friends girls have always remained pretty consistent.

Which is why when Courteney and Jennifer's long-time hairstylist (and creator of the 90s-defining Rachel Cut) Chris McMillan, posted a picture on Instagram of Courteney's new "shaggy bangs," I got just a little bit excited.

Chris captioned the post: "#bangs @courteneycoxofficial @jenniferaniston #approved Every time I bang Courteney she always says “how fast does hair grow a month?” 😂 lol!!!! Bangs for #fall COURTENEY"

Hilariously, Chris spelt her name wrong in the post, and Courteney replied: "How many years do we have to spend together for you to spell my name right. Even after our bang??"

Luckily for him, we were all too busy staring at Courteney's obscure selfie to notice the spelling mistake - trying to catch a glimpse of Monica peeking out from under the military-style cap Courteney was wearing.

Let's just hope the humidity doesn't get her...
