Coventry City have secured the services of one of the Academy's bright prospects, handing teenager Rylie Siddall his first professional contract at the club.

The 18-year-old has been at the cub for the last six years, joining the Sky Blues Academy just after stepping up to senior school, and is now part of the club's Under-21s development group.

Siddall, a wide midfielder/winger, will now be hoping to bridge the gap between the development squad and the first team in the coming seasons.

Announcing the news, the club said: "We are delighted to confirm that youngster Rylie Siddall has signed his first professional contract with the Club.

"The 18-year-old former scholar joined the Sky Blues as a twelve-year-old back in 2018 and climbed the ranks from Under-13s to Under-21s.

"A wide player, Siddall last season featured in FA Youth Cup wins over Preston North End and Barnsley, scoring against the latter.

"He made 32 appearances for the Club at Under-21s level with his first coming in a 3-1 win over Colchester United U21s."
