Coventry Coombe Abbey Park issues Storm Bert warning and says 'exercise caution'
Coombe Abbey Park has issued a warning to people visiting today as Storm Bert takes hold in Coventry and Warwickshire. Winds are expected to reach up to 55mph.
Visitors have been told to 'exercise caution' with heavy rain set to hit the city today (Sunday, November 24). Forecasters have also issued a wind warning for the city, which will be in force until 9pm.
Families have been told to avoid tree-lined paths when walking around Coombe Abbey. Bosses said the risk of windblown branches and falling debris was 'high.'

In a statement issued this morning (November 24), Coombe Abbey Park said: “It is a bit blowy out here today thanks to Storm Bert. If you are thinking of visiting today, please exercise caution, especially if walking along tree-lined paths and in woodland areas as the risk of windblown branches and falling debris is high.”
Residents were also urged to avoid St Martins Road in Finham this morning (November 24) as a tree had fallen at the junction with Droylsdon Park Road. Nobody was believed to have been injured.
Conditions will be 'windy but mild' across the city today, according to the Met Office. Temperatures are expected to remain at around 12C.
