Coventry Skydome set for landmark birthday in the city
One of Coventry's popular city centre venues is celebrating its 25th birthday this month. Skydome, on Croft Road, opened in 1999 and will host events to mark the occasion.
In the same year that Posh and Becks tied the knot, the third Harry Potter book was released, and Britney Spears topped the charts with 'Baby One More Time', Skydome opened its doors to the public.
The venue has been home to iconic clubs such as Ikon, Diva, and Jumping Jacks and is currently home to Tiki Bar Samaon Joes, Odeon Cinema, The Spon Gate, and Planet Ice, home to the Blaze ice hockey team.

As part of the celebrations, Skydome is hosting a free family fun day on Saturday, October 19, for both old and new customers to join the festivities. There will also be a 'Party like it's 1999' event at Samaon Joes on October 18, followed by a Blaze ice hockey game on October 20, which coincides with the Blaze's 25th birthday.
