New figures have been released to show the number of people with Covid-19. And while one area had almost 11 cases for every 100,000 people others had none at all.

Carlisle had the highest rates of covid in the country, with 10.88 cases for every 100,000 people in the area. That’s followed by Waverley with 9.31 cases per 100,000.

Meanwhile a number of areas had none at all including Brighton, Burnley and Hartlepool. However these figures only cover confirmed cases and with most people not testing or results not being reported the figures are likely to be much higher.

The figures are for all forms of Covid, not just the latest variant. They cover the seven-days to September 11, 2024.
