Covid: England announces end of its Plan B restrictions

England will begin lifting its winter Covid ‘Plan B’ restrictions from tomorrow. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the House of Commons on Wednesday. Speaking at a Downing Street press conference later in the day, Health Secretary Sajid Javid said that the mandatory wearing of face coverings would no longer apply in England, but suggested that they be worn in “enclosed and crowded places”.
