This is the bizarre moment a cow wandered into a police station in Australia.

Queensland Police shared a series of clips of the animal having a snoop around Doomadgee Police Station.

"An unmoosual visitor recently dropped into Doomadgee Police Station," it wrote. "Maybe it came in to pay a heifer-ty fine."

The police force wondered whether the animal had confused the station for the "local cowncil office".

"Luckily it mooved on before it could be charged with disudderly conduct," the force said.

The footage shows the cow having a mooch outside the station before wandering inside.

It ambles back outside after spotting two members of staff. One officer tries to quickly take a snap of the bizarre moment.

It's not the first incident of the sort in the last few months.

Back in the UK, a herd of goats were spotted wandering through deserted streets of Llandudno in Wales, nibbling at hedges and springtime gardens as they went.

The animals typically spend their time grazing on the heights of the nearby Great Orme headland and only usually venture down to the town during bouts of bad weather.

But with so many fewer people out and about amid the coronavirus lockdown, some think the creatures have been drawn into Llandudno this time by little more than inquisitiveness.
