Cows 'nod along' to Cambridge choir performance in comical moment
A herd of cows revealed their moo-sical tastes in Cambridge as they joined the audience of a choir performance. One cow appeared to be 'nodding along' in time with the tunes of West Bridgford Social Singers during their spontaneous acapella show at Mill Pond on September 7, according to group secretary Lyn Schofield.
Ms Schofield said: "I was born in Cambridge and I said to the others that the cows own this land. We sat and had a picnic on the corner of the Mill Pond which was lovely.

"We started to sing a few songs and the cows walked across. One of our members got head-butted three times because she was stroking one of them and it liked the pets.
"I swear one of the cows was swinging his head in time with the singing. Once we moved on to Christ's Pieces, the cows also went back to their field on Coe Fen."
Lori Cunningham, who captured the cows on camera as she cycled past, said: "I spotted cows along the path, which is not unusual as they roam freely here, but they seemed to be gazing in one direction. I followed their gaze and at the same time I heard singing and noticed small groups of people were gathering to listen to the impromptu performance by a choir.
"It was beautiful. There was even an interaction between a couple of cows who nuzzled two singers, almost as though to say thank you for the lovely music. It was a sublime moment and a poignant reminder that cows are sensitive, sentient creatures."
Known for their distinctive cowbell-like collars equipped with GPS trackers, the Coe Fen herd continues the ancient practice of 'Commons grazing,' a tradition predating the 17th century. The cows become a regular sight during spring and summer months.
West Bridgford Social Singers is a Nottingham-based community choir with 30 years of history. The choir serenaded the cows with 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri, followed by 'Shallow' by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
