Coyote Pounces While Hunting for Voles Hiding Under Snow in Colorado

A coyote demonstrated its pouncing technique for hunting voles hiding under snow on a wintry day near Denver, Colorado.

Sometimes known as “mousing”, the technique involves springing upwards using the coyote’s back legs and landing to break the snow’s top layer before catching the prey in its mouth, according to the Yellowstone National Park website.
