The names Craig David and Liam Payne are not largely associated with the word "dangerous", if we are being honest here.

However, it turns out their names may actually be riskier than thought, at least for the health of your computer.

Computer security firm McAfee has revealed the results of its annual research into what names are most likely to lead users to malicious sites if searched for – and Craig and Liam have topped the list for the UK, Newsbeat reports.

"Having the latest albums, videos and films available immediately is a tempting proposition," said Nick Viney, a consumer expert at McAfee.

"However, consumers need to be aware of the cybersecurity risks of clicking on links that promise the latest content from celebrities, particularly when they're offering it for free.

"They [the consumers] need to slow down and assess the links and sources that are showing up in search results."

Cybercriminals are thought to put links using celebrities' names which appear at the top of popular searches, pairing them with other popular search terms like "free mp3", in order to take users to sites which can install malware.

The study, which aims to highlight the risks of suspicious links when searching for music, found that over one in 10 sites with the promise of free music when searching for Craig David led to malicious websites.

Also included in the top 10 searches are Emeli Sandé, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Charli XCX, Lily Allen and Zayn Malik.

In short, be wary, folks... and don't click on anything suspicious.
