Crane Sways in Powerful Storm Brendan Wind

As Storm Brendan crossed the south and west coast of Ireland on January 13, a crane at a construction site in Cork city was seen swaying in the powerful winds.

Met Eireann issued a status orange wind warning in Cork at 5 am, and said it would remain in place until 9 pm. Other counties severely impacted by the storm were Galway, Limerick, Kerry, and Donegal.

As the storm moved east, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for Northern Ireland and western parts of Great Britain, including the Scottish and Welsh coasts. Credit: @EmbalmerC via Storyful
