Crash at major Coventry junction leaves man with 'injuries'

A man was left injured following a two-car crash in Coventry. It happened in Wyken on Monday (November 18).

Paramedics were called to the incident at around 8.30pm. Crews found that two cars had been involved in a collision at the junction of Hipswell Highway and Ansty Road.

Medics treated a man, who has not been identified, for minor injuries. He was quickly taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

In a statement issued today (November 21), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC in Coventry at around 8.30pm on Monday (November 18). Two ambulances were sent to the scene where, on arrival, they found two cars had been involved in a collision at the junction of Ansty Road and Hipswell Highway.

“A man was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. A second patient, a woman, did not wish to be assessed.”
