Drivers endured traffic trouble this morning following a two car crash on a busy city street. Police were called to Novorossiysk Road after a report of a collision between two vehicles at 10.08am this morning.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said officers at the scene contacted South Western Ambulance Service to deal with minor injuries involving the occupants of the vehicles, although at this time the reports were of minor injuries and it is not known whether anyone had to be taken to Derriford Hospital for further treatment.

The police spokesperson said the collision between the two vehicles was causing a "blockage" on the road, but that traffic was still flowing. They added that by around 11.30am officers were in the process of clearing the road.
