Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's creators are reuniting on a new comedy series.

The Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning star, writer and producer Rachel Bloom and collaborator Aline Brosh McKenna have teamed up on the pilot Badass (And Her Sister), reports Deadline.

Bloom always seems to set herself incredible challenges with her TV roles. In Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, she wrote new songs for every episode – in Badass (And Her Sister), she's playing both lead roles!

The actress will play sisters, one of whom is a globe-trotting spy ready to settle down for a quiet life living with her sister (also Bloom).

These siblings' unusual dynamic will help them both prove themselves as badasses – in different ways – over the course of the series.

Bloom is writing and executive producing Badass (And Her Sister) with Brosh McKenna for Hulu, rather than The CW this time.

The multi-talented actress and singer already has a relationship with Hulu because she is set to star in another pilot for the US streaming service, Reboot.

Bloom, Keegan-Michael Key and Johnny Knoxville have signed for former Modern Family boss Steve Levitan's TV comeback. It has a very meta-premise where Hulu reboots a fictional sitcom, meaning its dysfunctional cast must come back together in spite of old grudges.

Brosh McKenna, who wrote The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses before Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, is currently working on her directorial feature debut Your Place or Mine for Hulu's rival Netflix.

Your Place or Mine, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, sounds a bit like The Holiday in that it centres on two friends on opposite coasts who switch houses for one week.

Netflix is expected to release Your Place or Mine at some point in 2022, but there's no telling yet when Badass (And Her Sister) will be coming to Hulu.
