'Crazy' Snow Piles Up in Western Washington

“Heavy, wet” snow and gusty winds knocked out power for at least 50,000 customers in Washington’s King and Snohomish counties on Wednesday, November 30, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video posted by The Summit at Snoqualmie ski resort shows the heavy snow in King County as of Wednesday morning, when the resort measured more than 18 inches of fresh snow over the last 24 hours. The video’s caption said it was “snowing like crazy!”

By the afternoon, the NWS reported a measurement of 22 inches of snow at Snoqualmie Pass. Credit: The Summit at Snoqualmie via Storyful
