One of the UK's biggest festivals is on the horizon.

Creamfields, a behemoth of the summer dance music calendar, returns to its Cheshire home for its 21st edition this bank holiday weekend.

It boasts a huge line-up, populated by arena-filling DJs covering everything from trance to grime.

Here is everything you need to know.

When and where is it?

Creamfields takes place in Daresbury, a Cheshire village sat between Manchester and Liverpool, from Thursday August 23 to Sunday August 26.

It’s all about dance music at Creamfields, with some of the world’s biggest DJs populating the festival’s line-up.

Thursday begins with a relatively small line-up, featuring Bruno Martini and SKT among others.

The festival kicks into life on Friday. Andy C, the drum’n’bass legend, heads up the Ram stage he curated, while Chase and Status drop a DJ set on the Sub_Aural stage. Chart-toppers The Chainsmokers lead the Sick Boy Stage, while the hugely influential Carl Cox and Armin van Buuren headline the Steel Yard present Intec and Armada stages, respectively.

Major Lazer, Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Diplo are the biggest names set to play on Saturday, with further appearances scheduled for Annie Mac, Above & Beyond and Dillon Francis. Grime hero Giggs will perform on the Horizon stage, and there’s a whole load of rap and grime to be found over on Jampacked, which hosts Krept X Konan, Mistajam, Ramz and more.

Three of the world’s best-known DJs — Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Eric Prydz — will drop sets on Sunday, alongside Hardwell, Fatboy Slim, Rudimental and Alesso.

Tickets

Creamfields offers a number of different tickets. The cheapest tickets, the standard Saturday (£85) and Sunday (£90) day passes, give access the event arena but not to the campsite. It’s the same for the two-day non-camping pass (£175). “Gold” versions of these tickets are also available, with the added benefit of access to the Hospitality arena. Saturday and Sunday day passes each cost £130, with two-day passes available for £260.

Standard two-, three- and four-day camping passes are all still available, costing £185, £210 and £230 respectively. They give access to the standard campsite. "Bronze", "Silver" and "Gold" versions are also available, each allowing you to stay in the corresponding tier of campsite.

Tickets are available to buy here.
