All Creatures Great and Small teases 'trouble brewing' as Tristan gets 'replaced'
All Creatures Great and Small viewers were delighted when Tristan Farnon (Callum Woodhouse) returned to Darrowby last week.
After leaving to fight in the war in series three, his absence has been noticeable in the village, especially for his friends and family.
While Tristan has been away serving his country, his brother Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West) was forced to hire additional help at the practice.
This resulted in undergraduate vet student Richard Carmody (James Anthony-Rose) arriving to help while being mentored by James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph).
However, this week Tristan is set to come face-to-face with his replacement and it looks as though things don't go too well.

Sharing some images of the episode on Twitter, Channel 5 wrote: "Trouble’s brewing at Skeldale [sic]. Tristan's return is anything but smooth as he finds Carmody’s taken his bed – and his brother. Mrs. H has a plan up her sleeves and James tackles more than just a sick cow."
Speaking about the two characters meeting, actor Callum Woodhouse revealed that they're both extremely dissimilar.
He said: "It’s very similar to the way James and Tristan were in the first series; they don’t immediately get on. He’s similarly annoyed that Carmody has moved into Tristan’s old room and has his bed – he is very put out.
"But I think Tristan enjoys having someone in his world who is so peculiar and so different from him and he’s entertained by him and even quite enjoys having him around the place."
Although the pair may not see eye to eye on the show, actor James Anthony-Rose had nothing but praise about working with the returning star.
He said: "That relationship was really nice to play as well with Cal (Callum Woodhouse), who, of course, I had not met or worked with in the last series, and he is such a joy to work with.
"And he’s so in that character, so I felt very comfortable. It was great fun dancing around each other with those scenes not quite knowing how they’re going to get on with each other."
However, it's not known how long Tristan will remain in Darrowby as it seems as though his visit could be brief.
Nevertheless, viewers were thrilled to see him back on-screen with many left emotional watching his reunion with Seigfried.
All Creatures Great and Small continues on Thursdays on Channel 5 from 9pm
