All Creatures Great and Small's Helen suspects James is 'hiding something' in series 5
The wait for the return of All Creatures Great and Small is almost over as the fifth series is set to launch on Channel 5 this month.
Viewers were left reaching for their handkerchiefs following a poignant finale in February, which showcased James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) and his spouse Helen (Rachel Shenton) as they greeted their newborn child.
Although celebrations were short lived as the family were separated by James resuming his duties at RAF Abingdon.
A teaser from the first episode shared on Channel 5's Twitter shows James and his wife Helen having a discussion about his work in the army, reports the Express.
She voices her astonishment that James has been assigned to digging trenches notwithstanding his capabilities as a vet, as she highlights that he holds a reserved occupation.
She remarks with concern: "They're not going to let you fly?"
