Crews Monitor Eruptions at Cumbre Vieja Volcano

The Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma continued spewing lava and clouds of hot ash on Wednesday, September 29, more than one week after the volcano’s initial eruption.

Video posted on Twitter by Spain’s Military Emergency Unit (UME) shows crews taking data measurements and studying material near the site of the eruption.
