Crews Reinforce Containment of Caldor Fire Ahead of Strong Wind and Thunderstorms

Evacuation warnings were lifted for parts of El Dorado County, California, on Friday, September 10, after the Caldor Fire experienced minimal growth overnight and stayed at 53 percent containment, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters continued to battle the 218,459-acre blaze on Friday amid a red-flag warning for strong winds and thunderstorms in the area, Cal Fire said.
