Crews Remove Storm Elsa Debris From Clearwater Streets

Crews removed debris from the streets of Clearwater, Florida, on Wednesday, July 7, after Storm Elsa moved through the Tampa Bay area as a hurricane the day before.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Elsa strengthened from a tropical storm into a hurricane as it moved toward the Tampa Bay area on Tuesday evening. Elsa weakened back into a tropical storm during the early hours of Wednesday, according to the NHC.
