Crichton parkrun in Dumfries announces date for December 2024 Santa Dash

Organisers of the Crichton parkrun in Dumfries have unveiled details for this year’s Santa Dash.

The festive event will take place on Saturday, December 21, starting at 9.30am.

Everyone is welcome to come along with festive fancy dress positively encouraged.

There are no plans for a Christmas Day parkrun this year but there will be a bonus New Year’s Day event on Wednesday, January 1.

Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at hundreds of locations across the UK.

In Scotland, they start at 9.30am and are free for everyone to take part in, regardless of age, ability or fitness.

Other parkruns in Dumfries and Galloway include Stranraer and Castle Douglas - the latter of which is not running any extra events over the festive period
