A 'beautiful and kind mother' was tragically killed while crossing the road after being struck down by a moped in Hammersmith earlier this year. Now a £20,000 reward is being offered to anyone who has information which could help catch her killer.

Ina Rodrigues, 58, was struck down by a moped on her way home from work on Tuesday, January 16. The incident took place on Talgarth Road, in Hammersmith, with Ms Rodrigues being taken to hospital where she later died.

Ms Rodrigues' daughters have described her as a 'beautiful and kind' mum and say they are heartbroken to have lost her, according to charity Crimestoppers. The charity is now offering a £20,000 reward for information which leads to the conviction of anyone involved in her death.

"Ina's daughters have spoken so lovingly about their 'beautiful, kind mother' and how heartbroken they are at losing her in such tragic and unexpected circumstances," said Alex Loukas, London Manager at Crimestoppers.

"I would urge people to please take a few moments to view the CCTV footage online, which clearly shows the men abandoning the motorbike and whilst they are wearing crash helmets, there may be something distinctive that you recognise."

The Metropolitan Police are also hunting those responsible and in July released CCTV footage showing two people abandoning a moped before the rider and passenger fled the scene on foot. To be eligible for the reward, the information must be passed directly to Crimestoppers, which will keep identities of those who call them completely anonymous.

"We know it can be difficult for some people to speak directly to the police which is why our charity is here for you. We've been passing on information about crime whilst guaranteeing anonymity since we were established decades ago. It's a promise we've always kept," said Mr Loukas.

"Crimestoppers is independent. Whilst we work with law enforcement by passing on what we're told, we are independent of the police. With our charity you'll stay 100% anonymous – that means no police, no courts, no witness statements. A family is grieving the loss of a loved one. Your information could be crucial in helping prevent further tragedies and in securing justice for Ina, and her devastated family and friends."
